We welcome Ramadhan.
Afiq told me to write on it and educate people about it, but i think 10 years of compulsory education in Singapore and along with National Education, should be enough to let people know what Ramadhan is about. So instea, i will blog about my encounter this year with Ramadhan.
This year is the first for my sister. She was excited, this morning saying..
"Yeah! Iffah belajar puasa!!!"
Situation now; she is crying like a first time fasting child should. HAHA!
I even caught her in the kitchen just now satring at the food in the fridge, and i went "HEY!"
Then she lughed, of course she didn't eat but it was just so funny!!
So back to my encounter this year.
Every year, every Muslim look into perfecting their Ramadhan from the previous one.
This year, this morning actually, its funny.
My dad decide to pray morning prayers at the mosque and i was like are you kidding me!?
Why why can't we pray at the comfort of our home..WHY!?
So being the rebellious person that i was...

Walking to the mosque was funny,
*Thoughts in my head**Grumbles*
Hirzi: Which freak my age wakes up this early to get out of the house. I bet all the people that is going to be there are all the old Hac..(Supresses negative words because of fasting). *continues* Apart from them, there will also be those kesian kids that are groggy and sleepy but follow their fathers because ..well i dunno because of what but because of something ok?!
My assumptions were right. Everyone there are old and probably the most pious in the whole of Serangoon, and there i was with my brother representing Blk 148. It was funny. So prayers began and i walk to Rapatkan Saf.
Imam: Tolong luruskan saf, agar sempurna ibadah yang akan dijalankan.
Man beside me: *Shouts* INSYALLAH!!!
..and me being groggy in the morning of course i got a shock. Here's the thing about prayting at the mosque, I LOVE hearing the professional imam reciting the Surahs, because it really is enchanting and Die-able. BUT, not in this case its not, I mean come on. It was already early in the morning and you recite it in a monotonous voice, SERIOUSLY?! I was like
"Hey Ya'll I need Lively ya'll Give me Lively."
After that there was a kuliah, damn i really wanted to sleep. But i stayed, and they were talking about the same thing they tell every year about Ramadhan, about how it should be perfected each year and stuff like that. Then i think to myself, if they have the same topic everytime, why do these men even bother sitting in to listen, i mean isn't one lesson enough, do we learn more? No. Do we learn something different and new? No.
And my brother, hah. Poor brother. Obviously he didn't want to come, but when you have no reasons not to come, you oblige anyways. And throughout the whole Kuliah, i was staring at him. And HE SLEPT!!!! hah. The whole process, i mean i'm sure that would help to build his rapport as a rapper. Hehhehe..
So it was really funny, this morning experience.
Urgh..
The sister, is grumbling about being hungry..
*SCOLDS AND YELLS AT SISTER*

Hahaha! So much for being a suck-up. "Yeah Iffah belajar puasa." Right?
